Job Title: Agentic AI/ Gen AI Engineer

Duration: 6 Month - Long Term

Location: Washington, DC 20043

Work Model: 4 days per week from Day 1, with a full transition to 100% onsite anticipated soon

Note: This position is for a vibe code expert. Somebody who was used either Claude vortex and is a pro in it and knows how to use it with less token usage.

Scope of work

The resource will support the implementation, scaling, and governance of the Business-Led IT (BLIT) initiative by performing the following activities:

  • Architect code deployment process using CI/CD pipeline to AWS Bedrock and Azure the code generated from Replit and Lovable AI
  • Define roles, responsibilities, eligibility criteria, and governance controls for citizen developers, including approved use cases, risk tiers, escalation paths, and alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and data policies
  • Deliver pre-approved solution templates, reference architectures, UI standards, and integration patterns that citizen developers must use to ensure consistency, security, and scalability
  • Implement built-in guardrails including identity and access management, data classification enforcement, logging, monitoring, auditability, and compliance checks
  • Develop and deliver role-based training, onboarding materials, and hands-on labs; establish a Citizen Developer Community of Practice to share best practices, patterns, and lessons learned
  • Operationalize the BLIT Operating Model by supporting adoption of the user journey across Business, LoB, EA, OIS, and Shared Services.
  • Facilitate intake, evaluation, and triage of business-driven IT requests in alignment with established standards and pathways (Innovation Sandbox, Self-Service, Purpose-Built).
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between Business Users, LoB teams, EA, OIS, product teams, and platform/infra groups.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including user guidelines, process flows, RACI matrix, governance standards, knowledge materials, and communication assets.
  • Support low-code/no-code POCs (Lovable, Replit, etc.), including coordination with vendors, EA reviews, OIS security assessments, and functional demonstrations.
  • Track and report progress of BLIT activities, pilots, and solution delivery, ensuring transparency for leadership and governance forums.
  • Lead or contribute to Communities of Practice (CoP), including planning sessions, preparing materials, gathering insights, and evolving shared practices.
  • Support governance and approval processes, including preparation of materials for EARB, security reviews, procurement engagements, and tool onboarding.
  • Partner with LoB teams to guide business users on request initiation, solution pathways, and lifecycle expectations.
  • Ensure alignment with SAFe and Agile delivery principles, participating in PI Planning, system demos, and validating business readiness where needed.
  • Support communication and change management, helping socialize standards, roles, tools, and guidance across VPUs.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities within BLIT processes, tools, and cross-team collaboration mechanisms.

Skills / Experience Required

  • 10+ years of relevant experience leading full stack application development team.
  • Experience designing or governing citizen developer programs using low-code/no-code platforms
  • Any cloud certification (AWS or Azure) is preferred.
  • Experience using tools like GitLab/GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Proficiency with CI/CD, DevSecOps Pipelines and skilled with analytics platforms(PowerBI)
  • Knowledge of platform-based development models, including solution tiering, risk classification, and escalation to full IT delivery
  • Knowledge of enterprise IT processes, including architecture reviews, security assessments, intake governance, and cross-team delivery workflows.
  • Good understanding on low-code/no-code platforms (Replit, Lovable, etc.,) and modern application development concepts.
  • Experience defining guardrails, standards, and approval processes that enable innovation while controlling risk
  • Ability to define platform roadmaps aligned to business demand.
  • Master’s degree in engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
  • SAFE Agilist certification is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of product management or business analysis, with experience supporting business-driven technology initiatives.
  • Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments, including PI Planning, backlog refinement, prioritization, and iterative delivery.
  • Excellent coordination and facilitation skills, with the ability to work across Business Units, LoB teams, EA, OIS, and Platform/Infrastructure teams.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, able to translate technical concepts into clear business language.
  • Ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives, track progress, identify risks, and ensure alignment with standards and governance.
  • Experience creating or maintaining operational documentation, including guidelines, RACI matrices, process flows, and user journeys.
  • Familiarity with IT governance, compliance, security, and data management requirements.
  • Collaborative and relationship-driven mindset, supporting communities of practice and cross-functional partnership.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with continuous improvement orientation.
