Primary Purpose Of Position
The Data Analyst will report into the Digital Transformation Office and will play a pivotal role in enabling data-driven decision-making, under the guidance of a Sr. Data Analyst or Manager. This position is responsible for analyzing data and leveraging AI and machine learning techniques to uncover patterns, make predictions, and provide actionable insights. The Data Analyst will translate complex datasets into actionable insights that inform strategic initiatives, optimize business processes, and enhance customer engagement. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales leadership, product owners, and technical leads to ensure that data is leveraged effectively to drive measurable business outcomes.

Primary Duties And Accountabilities
- Support data preparation efforts for AI/ML models by sourcing, cleaning, and profiling structured and unstructured data.
- Develop features for machine learning models and anomaly detection algorithms to support data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document data requirements, business rules, and data definitions.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, gaps, and anomalies in sales-related data.
- Validate and test model outputs against expected results or historical data.
- Document queries, data dictionaries, and analysis results in Confluence or internal tools.
- Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies as a contributor to the data workstream.
- Analyze complex datasets using AI techniques to uncover insights that inform sales strategies and business decisions.
- Create automated reporting systems and real-time analytics dashboards.
- Build technical knowledge and business acumen within data analytics and AI.
- Build simple dashboards or data visualizations to support reporting needs or communicate trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in data analysis and machine learning
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages for data analysis (Python, R, Java, Julia, etc.)
- Experience with AI frameworks like TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, or PyTorch
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, Databricks, AWS, or GCP)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
- Familiarity with basic statistics and data validation techniques
- Experience in data preparation, cleaning, and visualization
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for conveying complex findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with data exploration / data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc. and workstation applications
- Understanding of basic machine learning workflows (feature engineering, model evaluation)
- Experience with Salesforce CRM application
- Understanding of sales transformation projects within the energy sector
