Role Description

Alpha Star Research is hiring a full-time AI/LLM Development Engineer to join our growing team in New York. You will develop AI-driven solutions using large language models (LLMs) to turn complex data into actionable insights and support the team in building high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Signal Development: Design and develop AI-driven data analysis systems using large language models (LLMs) to identify key signals from vast amounts of news, social media, and market data.
• Market Signal Service Delivery: Transform AI-generated market signals into reliable, production-ready services.
• Strategy Integration: Work closely with quantitative researchers to integrate advanced AI algorithms into trading models, ensuring a seamless transition from research to live trading.
• LLM Performance Optimization: Evaluate and optimize large language models, addressing issues such as hallucinations to ensure accuracy, reliability, and robustness in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in LLM product development, prompt engineering, pipeline development, or model training.
• Strong understanding of LLM architecture and key differences across mainstream LLM technologies.
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript.
